Gearspace / TBProAudio GSat+

After the dust has settled following the recent name change, everyone’s favorite pro audio forum Gearspace has teamed up with TBProAudio to develop this free saturation plug-in and thank the community for their support. GSat+ offers three modes of tube-based saturation. You can dial in the desired number of stages and adjust the even and odd harmonics . GSat+ also offers clip protection, oversampling and versatile metering options. Sounds like a must-have!

GSat+ is available for macOS (Intel/Arm) and Windows (32/64 bit) in VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats.

Fanan Team Yumbu 2

Fanan Team has updated the free drum sampler Yumbu. Like the predecessor, Yumbu 2 is designed to be a versatile drum sample player with fast kit loading times. It offers ten slots, which you can fill with drum samples of your choice. You can adjust the start and end times, apply a pitch-based round robin effect and blend samples together using the new morph feature. There’s also a good selection of effects. Fanan Team says that the new version offers better control and imports WAV and MP3 formats.

Yumbu 2 is available for Windows as a VST and VST3 plug-in.

Spitfire Audio LABS Bass Guitar

It’s been a while since we’ve featured one of Spitfire Audio’s wonderful LABS sample packs in this column. The latest release in the series brings classic electric bass sounds to your DAW. According to Spitfire, the sounds were re-amped through a vintage Ampeg. With four presets and seven controls for tweaking, Bass Guitar delivers a wide variety of bass sounds from smooth and soulful to more aggressive, punchy and driven. You can never have enough bass!

The LABS plug-in runs on macOS 10.10 or higher and Windows 7 or higher in VST, VST3, AU and AAX formats.
