Boss Waza Craft TB-2W: The Tone Bender Mk II fuzz pedal is back!
Pre-Orders open today for the hottest fuzz in town!
The new Waza Craft TB-2W from Boss went on pre-order officially today – if you’re very lucky you may be able to get your hands on one. Already sold-out on many dealer pages, this must surely be one of the hottest Boss pedal releases for some time.
Boss Waza Craft TB-2W
Announced last year, the Boss Waza Craft TB-2W pedal is a limited edition run of the classic British fuzz circuit. These pedals are being made in Japan for the first time ever with Sola Sound under license. Boss based the TB-2W on a Tone Bender MK II (serial number 500) from Sola Sound’s own archive.
Enhanced Fuzz?
Boss has taken the opportunity to add a few enhancements to its version. Apart from the new compact pedal format, the TB-2W also has a three-way voltage selector, selectable true/buffered bypass operation and what is described as a “refined” circuit design for better consistency throughout the production series of this pedal.
Germanium Transistors
This new Waza Craft recreation of the fuzz will be physically shipping from early May, we hear. It’s a limited production run and we’ve already seen the guitar forums and internet groups going a bit wild over it, so I expect them to sell out fast!
Check out the two official videos below to hear the story behind the collaboration, as well as some background on the original ’60s pedal design, the story of Sola Sound, Macari’s Musical Exchange and more.

Almost a $500 fuzz in Canadian dollars. Canadians get boned. Also, the fuzz factory will always be the best fuzz pedal. Gearnews sucks!
If you think $500 Canadian sucks, you should try Brexit import fees…
And I agree, the Fuzz Factory is a sweet fuzz!
