Chase Bliss launches MOOD looper/delay pedal. With a 20-minute, must-see video.
From "MDMA-cuddly" atmosphere to "I like to eat kids" noises the MOOD has it all!
Only a few months ago, Chase Bliss introduced the Automatone MK II at the 2019 NAMM Show. Now it’s launching a new addition to its range: MOOD is a two-channel looper/delay pedal created in collaboration with Drolo FX and Old Blood Noise Endeavors. And it looks a belter.
Chase Bliss MOOD
Just looking at the controls available, you can see straight away that the MOOD is a functionally expansive pedal. On the top we have 6 controls, 4 levers and 2 footswitches. But on the upper side there’s a “mouse piano” aka DIP switch bank with 2x8 switches. Oh, and there’s also an expression and a MIDI port available as well. All this on the size of a standard MXR case! That’s pretty impressive.
Looper/Delay
The MOOD has controls for Time, Length, Modify left, Modify right and Clock . The left and right sides are adjustable via the switches Reverb, Delay and Slip on the left and Stretch, Tape and Envelope on the right.
The DIP Switches take care of the expression control for the parameters Time, Length, Modify Wet, Clock, Modify Loop, Shape, Trails and Sweep on the right side and optionally also on the left side for Time, Length, Modify Wet, Clock, Modify Loop, Bounce, MoTB Wet and MoTB Loop. So many options in one box!
The video linked below shows what MOOD can do. And it can do a staggering variety of textures and tones, from “MDMA-cuddly” atmosphere to “I like to eat kids” noises. This box seems to have it all.
So go pop the kettle on and make a cup of tea or roll a ‘fat one’, then go check out the epic 20 minute long official demo video below. You have to hear the Chase Bliss MOOD in action. Seriously.
