The Presonus Eris 3.5BT & 4.5BT 2nd Gen are new compact studio monitors with Bluetooth 5.0, allowing you to pair multiple devices for both work and play.
Already a popular name in the entry-level end of the market, Presonus has a knack for creating reliable and affordable solutions for home recording enthusiasts and content creators.
Presonus Eris 3.5BT and 4.5BT 2nd Gen
Aside from Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, both models have 3.5mm mini jack ports on the front of the left speaker for headphones output and aux input.
As with most monitors of this kind, all the connection ports and the amplification system are contained within the left speaker, while the right speaker is passive.
In addition, both the 3.5BT and 4.5BT 2nd Gen are powered by a 2 x 25W amplifier that is protected from RF interference. Meanwhile, on the rear panel, you’ll find EQ controls to tune the monitors to your room with up to 6 dB boost or cut for treble and bass.

This is a particularly useful feature, as the speakers may be positioned adjacent to a wall with a reflective desktop surface in front of them which can affect their overall translation properties.
What’s more, there are inputs for both balanced TRS and unbalanced RCA, making them compatible with a wide range of audio setups. While they may not be the most accurate monitors ever designed, you can’t argue about the functionality provided for the price.
