The new Cort Essence Series acoustic guitars are inspired by classic design and traditional craftsmanship. A special heat treatment, vintage accents and high-quality electronics set them apart – and they’re pretty affordable, too!
Cort Essence
The highlight of the new Cort Essence series is the innovative Aged-to-Vintage (ATV) process used to artificially age their sound In this process, the solid Sitka spruce top is aged using a special heat treatment called torrefaction. This means that the acoustic guitar already sounds as warm and open as if it has been played for decades, but right from the start.
The combination of Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides and back in this cutaway model makes for an open, natural tone with a pronounced midrange presence. The fingerboard and bridge are made of rosewood. This makes it easy to play both gentle finger style arrangements and do more powerful strumming.
Fishman inside
The Cort Essence range features an elegant herringbone pattern on the rosette and top edge for a beautifully vintage look. This is complemented by open vintage tuners and the three models’ attractive satin finish. It’s pretty thoughtful design that draws on the tradition of classic acoustic guitars.
Two guitar body sizes are available in the new series: Grand Auditorium (GA) and Orchestra (OC). These come in three different colors: Natural Semi Gloss, Black Top Semi Gloss, and Brown Top Semi Gloss. Each guitar also comes with genuine bone saddle & nut. In terms of electronics, a Fishman Presys VT system is built-in, so you can plug the guitar right into an amp or a PA.

Both models, the Cort Essence GA4 Brown Top* and the Essence GA4 Natural* are available from Thomann for 369 euros.
