Danley Sound Labs enters the studio with new monitor and sub
Manufacturer Danley Sound labs introduced a studio monitor and subwoofer, expanding its product line-up to include studio equpment in addition to PA systems. The new speakers are called the Studio 1 and Studio Sub.
Danley Sound Studio 1 and Studio Sub
Studio One and Studio Sub are a monitor speaker and subwoofer made to play very nice with each other. Both employ Danley’s Synergy Crossover design to ensure linear phase and flat frequency response. The Studio One can be driven from one amp channel. It features a 6.5-inch coaxial driver and its frequency response is rated at 63Hz to 20kHz.
Danley also has a Studio 2 model, which is active and does not require an external subwoofer. However, this one does not appear on the manufacturer’s website.
Turning our attention to Studio Sub, this is a two-way subwoofer with frequency response rated between 28Hz to 356Hz. It requires an 800W amplifier and is a bookshelf-type speaker, fitting smaller setups. The Studio Sub employs a new type of acoustic bandpass to get better performance out of the 8-inch woofers and reduce harmonic distortion.
Price and availability information is not available at this time. Ask your Danley SL dealer for details if you are interested.
