Deal: Save big on the Eventide Omnipressor plug-in
If you’re a fan of Eventide plug-ins and would like to expand your collection, now is a good time! The Omnipressor is on sale for just USD 49 until September 30. That’s less than a third of its regular price.
Eventide Omnipressor
The Eventide Omnipressor was designed in the early 1970’s by Eventide’s founder Richard Factor. One of the first customers was Brian May, the company says. While the first edition was a bit cumbersome, the redesigned “Black Face” version became a huge success. The dynamic processor has been used on countless hits and some vintage units are still in use in studios today. Eventide has resurrected the Omnipressor as a plug-in, just like the company did with other hardware classics like Instant Flanger and Instant Phaser.
Eventide’s software emulation is modeled after the second hardware edition and works as a compressor, expander, gate and limiter. One of its unique features is dynamic reversal. This inverts the dynamic envelope of the audio signal: what’s quiet becomes loud, and the other way around. Infinite compression means that everything will come out at the same volume. Expansion allows you to make loud signals even louder and quiet sections even quieter. The ratio setting on the function knob determines how the effect operates. The plug-in offers a variety of presets.
