Dean USA Kerry King V Limited Edition: Slaying your wallet!
With only 50 guitars being made, get ready for an eye-watering price tag
Dean’s first Kerry King signature model is here at last. You’ll need to raise $8,666 to get one though, so time to get praying to the gods of Thrash metal! And maybe give your mortgage lender a call while you’re at it.
Dean USA Kerry King V Limited Edition
Slayer’s Kerry King is bit of a living legend and has recently made the jump to Dean USA from his previous favoured guitar brands of BC Rich and Jackson. His new limited edition USA Kerry King V comes with EMG and Sustainiac pickups, a Kahler KFK bridge and a suitably subtle custom finish. Mr King has this to say about the new collaboration with Dean:
“I’m super stoked to be part of the Dean Guitars family. This has been an insane long time coming! Together we’re going to create some amazing guitars that Dean, Slayer, and Kerry King fans will be as excited as I am to play them. It’s gonna be a wild ride for years to come!” – Kerry King
You also get a Floyd Rose R2 locking nut and Grover tuners to keep everything nicely in tune when you’re playing your rendition of Reign In Blood down the Dog and Duck at Jam Night.
The Sustainiac pickup and the EMG 81 are wired via a PA2 Preamp Booster so if the sound man turn you down, you can hit him hard with an extra punch to his PA with the flick of a switch.
Thrash the cash!
After all the ruckus with Gibson earlier this year over the Flying V shape, this new model is a bit of a punch in the throat. Dean is only making 50 units of the new V model, so don’t hang around too long working out if you can afford one or not. I love Slayer, so I’m well chuffed to see this guitar in all its glorious sublety!
RRP – USD 8666
