That’s right, you can now get most of the Dear Reality Plugins free until July 31, after that, they are no longer supported by Sennheiser.
For the last few years, Dear Reality has been an important part of Sennheiser, but now the parent company wishes to consolidate the brand under its centralized immersive audio initiatives, moving in a new direction.
Get the Dear Reality Plugins Free while you can!
The range of Dear Reality plugins is designed for immersive audio applications, expanding functions like mixing, monitoring, and spatial audio rendering. Included in the series of now-free plugins is the dearVR PRO 2 spatializer, the EXOVERB stereo reverb, the EXOVERB MICRO, the dearVR AMBI MICRO ambisonics plugin, and dearVR MICRO.
In addition, the dearVR MIX headphone spatializer, dearVR MIX-SE, the dearVR SPATIAL CONNECT controller, the MIYA resynthesis tool, the dearVR MUSIC (which remains supported via Plugin Alliance), and the dearVR UNITY designer for acoustic environments are also included.
If you are working in immersive audio, this is a great opportunity to add some useful tools to your collection. Although they are being officially discontinued, the Dear Reality plugins may yet prove useful in your workflow.
Meanwhile, we can look to the future with some interest, as Sennheiser’s immersive audio division surely has some worthy offerings in store.
