Deep Pan Fuzz Tones? Meet the Slice Of Pie fuzz
Pepperoni or cheese?
Nashville based pedal builders, Big Ear Pedals, and The Tone Mob Podcast have teamed up to make the Slice Of Pie pedal, a fuzz effect in one of two pizza-shaped housings. Will this fuzz be cheesy, or a deep pan of dirt?
Slice Of Pie
Pepperoni or cheese? Yes, you can go plain or, if you prefer, add some spice and sizzle to your pizza-shaped fuzz. And with mini knobs for gain, tone and volume, the Slice Of Pie triangular fuzz pedal has all you need to dial in your favourite fuzz tones. With a choice of topping.
Both the pepperoni and cheese versions of SLICE OF PIE feature the same circuit; The only difference is the toppings!
That’s Amore
This triangular, pizza-shaped fuzz pedal runs off a standard 9V DC power adapter, and so adding a slice to your standard pedalboard should be no problem. The pedal even comes shipped in a pizza box, along with a mini menu, a napkin, stickers, temporary tattoos, a pizza pin, two packs of crushed red pepper, and a plectrum!
To hear it in action, check out the demo video below. And, apparently 9 February, which is today, is National Pizza Day!
I love pizza, I love fuzz pedals, so this could be a match made in pizza heaven for me. Or it’s just a massive gimmick! Either way, I’m intrigued. So if you order one, please let me know how it sounds/tastes.
RRP – USD 199 / slice

Manufacturers have to resort to silliness now, in order to keep people interested. Same goes for youtubers…
I bet you like to tell kids there’s no Santa too, don’t you?
