Denon DJ’s original Prime Go dropped in early 2020 and immediately set the DJ world on its ear. Sitting comfortably between the worlds of the wired DJ controller and the full-on standalone, it offered a new kind of battery-powered portability for DJs who needed to be able to rock the party in all kinds of environments.

Now the popular device gets a refresh in the form of the Denon DJ Prime Go+, a new silver-hued version of the original that inhabits the statement, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

What’s New?

The new Prime Go+ replaces the original unit, upgrading the important bits. This includes the Wi-Fi, which Denon improved for better streaming, plus extending the rechargeable battery’s performance life to four hours.

“With the Prime Go+, our goal was to create a truly portable, all-in-one DJ solution tailored to modern needs,” said Jason Stout, Product Manager, Denon DJ. “Streaming services have become essential for today’s DJs, so we ensured the Prime Go+ integrates seamlessly, providing instant access to vast music libraries.”

This includes streamers like Amazon Music and Tidal, general music services essential for mobile and wedding DJs. Of course, you can also play music from your personal collection using tracks and playlists stored on an SD card or USB drive.

This is a standalone device, not a controller. Looking at the pictures this is obvious.
