Dr. No Effects Moon Canyon – Freak out in a moonage daydream?
A beautiful looking new multi-effects from Dr No Effects
Dr. No Effects has just announced via their website and Facebook page a cool new looking effect pedal called Moon Canyon. All hand-built by Dr. No himself and designed specifically for guitarist/composer Sarah Lipstate.
Moon Canyon
First off, this is beautiful looking effects pedal. It has to be said, this is mini work of art and has so much detail on the unit as well as the packaging which is shaped like a book. Dr. No Effects has gone all out on this new pedal and it looks fantastic. They took two years collaborating on this new pedal and it shows, as I think you can see how much effort went into it.
So what does it sound like you ask? Well, it has a combination of overdrive, reverb and delay then you also get a effects loop function. So plenty to use in one small, very good looking pedal.
Moonage Daydream
With a transparent overdrive that should be suitable for dynamic playing styles and a handy toggle switch on the side adds extra low end, you have lots of scope for drive tones. The Moon Canyon‘s digital reverb allows for long reverb times and has simulations of large rooms and also buildings like cathedrals. So expect big cavernous reverb for adding texture to your playing.
The onboard delay is also a digital effect and is similarly inspired by the sound characteristics. The mix control allows you to add the effect with the dry signal. If you like really crazy sounds you can use the tempo control to make the Moon Canyon self-oscillating as well.
The pedal is being released with 350 units in the run and will be coming out on 30th May on the full moon!
RRP – EUR 429
