Cherry Audio has released a software controller and editor developed by Tim Shoebridge for the Dreadbox Nymphes analog polysynth that runs as a module inside Voltage Modular.

We first saw this editor in Tim Shoebridge’s review of the Dreadbox Nymphes. The Nymphes is a superb little 6-voice analog polysynth that suffers a little bit from a dual function interface and a bit of menu action. Tim developed the software editor to open up all the parameters to more immediate access and to be able to save all your settings, presets and automation within your DAW.

NymphCC brilliantly captures the look of the Nymphes while bringing every parameter to the surface. It gives you control over both front panel levels including both envelopes, both LFOs and the Reverb. You can also initialise patches, save presets and designate MIDI ports and channels. One additional feature is the ability to polychain two Nymphes synths for double the polyphony.

NymphCC is available now for both the free and paid versions of Voltage Modular for $29. Voltage Modular is a software Eurorack environment with a huge array of free and premium modules.

NymphCV

To accompany NymphCC and to make the best use of the CV engine with Voltage Modular, Tim has developed a second module called NymphCV. The idea is that it opens up the Nymphes to CV and modulation control from other modules within Voltage Modular. Every parameter is represented including 6 CV/Gate inputs to control every voice.

NymphCV is available for $19.

Alternatively, you can buy them as a bundle for $39 which sounds like a bargain. This is great work from Mr Shoebridge and I really like the idea of synth editors inside Voltage Modular as it opens up a whole other way to play with your hardware synths.
