More Information

Following up on the equally wonderful Antiquarian Echoes, Somerville Sounds has released Dusty Felts, another brilliant reimagining of an older Kontakt library with a new interface and new features.

Dusty Felts is based on the same felted Kawai piano as the developer’s older libraries “Meyer Felt” and “Postfelt”. The new version, however, comes with several enhancements for much more sonic flexibility, while preserving the charming lo-fi character and beautiful imperfections of the piano.

With the option to add noise from a vintage preamp and adjust the filter and saturation, Dusty Felts invites you to experiment with the sound and create something unique. If you’re in a lo-fi mood, add some wowflutter and dust to craft a felt piano that sounds like it came straight from an old record. A truly inspiring freebie!

While Dusty Felts is available for free, you can name your own price to support the developer. The plugin runs on macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

More Information

Delirion by Igorski is a unique modulation effect based on a multiband Doppler shifter. The result can be anything from a subtle chorus to ever-so-slight microtonal harmonizations.

The three triangles represent the three frequency bands. The controls are the same for each band. By adjusting the Odd and Even knobs, you can manipulate the speed of the Doppler effect and the movement of the listener’s position. Each band also has a Cutoff control, which allows you to sculpt the sound and make it sit well in the mix. The bands can also be linked to achieve a coherent sound.

With additional features like Invert, Freeze, and Sync, Delirion is a highly unique effect that requires some thinking outside the box – but it’s worth it!

Delirion is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.

More Information

As a simulation of a classic opto compressor, Lotus Sound Audio’s LA2-FOX takes clues from the legendary Teletronix LA-2A. The developer says that it delivers the original’s cherished warmth and softness, while providing additional controls for added flexibility.

Unlike the original, LA2-FOX has Ratio, Attack, and Release controls for more precise shaping of the compression characteristics. There’s also a Mix knob for parallel compression.

LA2-FOX is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 format.
