ENGL Fireball 40th Anniversary limited edition models revealed
Celebrating 40 years of high-gain boutique amp tone
ENGL Fireball 40th anniversary limited edition amps unveiled for NAMM show. The German guitar amp makers are celebrating forty years in the business with these two bright red, racing stripe Fireball 100 and Fireball 25 amplifiers.
Fireball 40th Anniversary
These two ENGL Fireball 40th Anniversary limited edition amps are being revealed now, a few days ahead of the NAMM show in Anaheim.
The company started up in 1983 in Bavaria, Germany and has grown a very solid worldwide reputation for great high-gain tube amp tones.
Founder Edmund Engl and Senior Designer Horst Langer are both still at ENGL to this day, first began designing and building amps on a small scale. Over the years guitarists like Marty Friedman, Steve Morse, Ritchie Blackmore and Victor Smolski have all used their amps.
Fireball 100 & 25
Both Fireball 100 and Fireball 25 will be available with matching cabinets. Finished in red with a white racing stripe. These models will be limited to just 40 production units. Making them highly collectable, for fans of the German amps.
“Forty years ago, ENGL began as an idea and a passion project on the smallest of scales. We would never have believed we’d become one of the world’s biggest players when it comes to high-gain guitar tone!”
“But we’re extremely happy and grateful to be in this position, and our passion to build the best guitar amplifiers out there still burns as strongly as it did on day one. We’re so thankful to the entire ENGL family for putting their trust in us over the years, and we can’t wait to see where the journey continues!” – Edmund Engl
Worldwide Availability
They have stated that batches will be delivered to the USA, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Yet, currently, no pricing has been officially revealed. I’m guessing they will announce this during the show.
ENGL will be at the 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, from April 13-15. You will find them at Booth 208AB.
Considering the prices for the standard editions are quite affordable for a tube amp head, it will be interesting to see what these limited-run 40th-anniversary models will be selling for.
