Eowave Domino bass synthesizer now available for Eurorack
Last month I reported on the announcement that Eowave were going to release their Domino synthesizer as a Eurorack module. At the time information was scarce but today it’s been released and I can update you on all the details.
Domino
Eowave designed the Domino as a bit of a TB-303 clone – a little desktop box of bass. It was released about five years ago sounded great but looked at bit, well, rubbish. The Domino module on the other hand retains the fabulous sound and functionality while looking pretty damn cool. There’s a new video of it running with their Charcot Circles sequencer below.
In a 10HP space they’ve managed to squeeze an entire synth voice. It’s complete with a dual square/sawtooth oscialltor, a ladder type low pass filter, decay envelope and VCA. There’s a bit of patching going on behind the scenes but there’s also 12 patch points. These cover CV, VCA, Pulse width, gate, pitch and frequency modulation and two mix inputs. On the output side you have separate outs for the two waves, the envelope and the VCA. The controls are all a little bit squeezed in there but you are getting a lot of functionality in a small space.
The Eowave Domino module is available now for $299. More information on the Eowave website.
