The Epiphone Adam Jones has been shown off this week. Gibson’s Cesar Gueikian has shared the new upcoming Epiphone Adam Jones Les Paul signature model vis his personal Instagram account. But are we all sick of the hype yet?

You will need to be quick as the Instagram story will only be online for a short time. Cesar Gueikian has shared this 45-second video tease of the upcoming Epiphone Adam Jones silver burst Les Paul Custom.
The new signature model features a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups, just like Gibson versions and comes in the same layout including an uncovered bridge pickup and a reversed neck pickup with a chrome cover. Elsewhere, we can see an ebony fretboard and the updated Epiphone headstock shape.

Are you bored of Instagram teases yet?
A lot of guitar fans are voicing that these constant Instagram teases are becoming tedious as we all know the guitar is due imminently. Yet Gibson appears to really like this way of showing off up-and-coming new products. I’m personally, not that bothered and quite like seeing what is coming from the Epiphone and Gibson brands, yet I can certainly understand that it is just another marketing tool for a brand like Gibson.

Silver Burst Hype!
Of course, if this new model is priced under $1000 then it will sell out pretty quickly. Though that is still a lot of money for a guitar for many musicians, and so you will really need to want one. I guess that a lot of Tool fans may not be able to afford the US-made Gibson version. Or they may just have missed out on the limited runs from the Gibson Custom Shop. Therefore, this new Epiphone model should be very popular for a lot of Adam Jones fans.

The hype is stupid. But I think the same for all of the Slash models too. I’m not dissing the artists. But an LP is an LP.
I agree with you there. Sometimes, I think the hype just spoils the actual release and I would rather Gibson would not bother with all the teasing. It doesn’t make the products any more desirable, just becomes a little stale after the 50th teased signature model
