Epiphone drops new limited B.B. King Lucille Cherry and Bone White models
New Exclusive finishes
Epiphone has just announced two new B.B. King Lucille colour options, Cherry and Bone White. And both look very tasty indeed. With the addition of these sweet new finishes, Epiphone has made an already fantastic semi-hollow guitar even better.
Epiphone B.B. King Lucille – Cherry & Bone White
Epiphone has added new Cherry and Bone White colour options to its B. B. King Lucille range. The model was re-launched at the end of 2021 and was offered in the traditional ebony finish. It comes with a semi-hollow design with no f-holes, the Varitone switch, a TP-6 Stop Bar with a set of fine tuners, as well as the Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge.
Construction is the same five-ply layered maple with spruce binding and a maple centre block. This is paired with a rounded C profile maple neck that has a 12” radius ebony fingerboard, fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, block inlays, and a 1.69” Graph Tech nut. Finally, you have Lucille emblazoned on the guitar headstock.
Stereo/Mono
They come fitted with a pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbucking pickups. These are wired using CTS potentiometers, and you have both stereo and mono output jacks on this model.
Bone White
It appears that the Bone White finish is exclusive to Europe. So you’re out of luck if you wanted one but are not in Europe. The Cherry version seems to be more widely available.
UPDATE: It appears the Bone White is European exclusive, while the Cherry model is released just for the US market.
Limited Run
Both finishes are limited, although how many pieces, is not clear. As you can see below, Thomann has a stock of the B.B. King Lucille Bone White *version today. I guess these will sell out fast in both colours, so probably best to not hang about too long if you want one.
