Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera offers early Oasis tones
New signature Epiphone for former Oasis song writer and guitarist
The Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera has now officially been released, after a not-so-subtle tease by Gibson’s Cesar Gueikian all last week on his Instagram channel. Based on the former Oasis songwriter’s original guitar.
Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera
This Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera is based on the guitar that he wielded on the first Oasis album and played on practically every song in the studio recordings. It was a pretty famous guitar throughout the ’90s and so it is fitting that it gets a re-release now.
The ES body is made all around of 5-layer maple and is glossy lacquered with Dark Wine Red. In addition, there is a shiny lacquered neck on the back with a SlimTaper C profile, an Indian Laurel fretboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and trapezoid Pearloid inlays. The guitar features nickel hardware throughout and includes a set of Epiphone Premium Die Cast Tuners, LockTone TOM and a Stop-Bar tailpiece.
Alnico Classic PRO Powered
This signature guitar has two Alnico Classic PRO Humbuckers wired up using CTS pots with a volume and tone for each pickup and a three-way selector switch. It also has a set of black witch hat knobs and the characteristic white pickguard with the classic Epiphone-E logo.
Overall, it looks just like the one Noel played back in. the day and the only major difference is that this one has his signature on the rear of the headstock.
Noel Gallagher Signature models
This is not the only release today, as the new limited edition Gibson Custom Shop Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-335 model we wrote about earlier in the year is also out today. Though it costs a lot more at $9999. Plus, he also had the release of the limited edition J-150 acoustic before that one. Which was also pretty expensive at $4299 on release.
I really like that there is now a more affordable signature guitar for Oasis fans available. Plus, Mr Gallagher is well known for using an Epiphone for recording some of his biggest hits, which also makes it a worthy release.
MSRP – USD 899
