Epiphone reveals MKH Origins Les Paul Custom Matt Heafy signature guitar!
Matt Heafy and Epiphone have just revealed a new signature Epiphone MKH Origins Les Paul Custom with new prototype signature Fishman pickups!
Epiphone MKH Origins Les Paul Custom
With push/pulls on the controls for the new Fishman pickups and a nice-looking neck join for better access, the latest Epiphone signature guitar has some nifty features. The Fishman pickups are still being tested and the video below shows the pre-production models.
Prototype
This guitar will be available in Black or White finishes, and will sport ebony fretboards with block inlays. Another bonus is the new Epiphone headstock shape. I think they look great! Matt Heafy also mentions other little tweaks like strap locks and an included guitar strap. Sounds like he’s thought of everything…
6 or 7 Strings?
Both. The guitar will also be produced in a 7-String version, so we have a lot to look forward to this year. Personally, I think both colours look great. Epiphone has been knocking it out of the park lately with the signature model releases over the last few years.
