Erebus is reborn as Lil’ Erebus DIY Kit and sells like hot modular cakes
We all shed a little tear when Dreadbox discontinued the coolest little desktop synth on the planet. But now, by a stroke of complete genius, it’s back and everyone is going to want one. Lil’ Erebus is an awesome little kit that’ll build you a desktop synth into a cardboard box or a modular synth for your Eurorack for like €158.
Lil’ Erebus
The original Erebus was a great little synth and used to sit up there with other semi-modulars such as the Moog Mother-32 and Make Noise 0-Coast. Now it’s less than half the price, will fit easily into your rack and is as much fun as it always was. Just like they did with the Hades.
It’s been simplified a little bit, it’s lost an envelope stage, the VCA control and individual oscillator tuning but retains the character, the patch points and the all-important echo.
The kit comes with everything you need to build it and connect it to your Eurorack. For the desktop kit you also get a bus power board capable of running 3 modules and a power brick.
From €158 – €200 it’s a bargain for such a cool little synthesizer.
