Erica Synths Echolocator: Performance Delay for your Desktop
Erica Synths Echolocator is a digital stereo delay in a desktop format that’s all about real-time tweakability. The perfect hardware delay for DAWless sessions?
Erica Synths Echolocator
After Nightverb, Erica Synths presents Echolocator, another compact desktop performance effects unit developed in collaboration with 112db. While Echolocator borrows Nightverb’s aluminum enclosure with lots of knobs for tweaking, it’s a whole different animal: a digital stereo delay with a bunch of tricks up its sleeve.
All important parameters are directly accessible. In addition to standard delay parameters such as Time(including Tap Tempo), Feedback, Mix, and Ping Pong, you’ll find a built-in resonant filter. The delay can also be modulated. Furthermore, there’s a Freeze function, as well as an adjustable Shimmer parameter.

In addition to this, Echolocator offers an integrated pitch shifter and a one-knob reverb. While real-time tweaking is obviously the main focus here, the device is also fully MIDI-controllable. It comes with 30 presets and 70 memory slots for user settings, which can be exported via USB.
On the back, Echolocator has stereo inputs and outputs and a configurable footswitch jack – perfect if you don’t have your hands free during a performance. There’s also MIDI in/out and a USB port.
