Erica Synths Fusion Drone: a roaring tube-based synth for modular rigs
No matter how much digital technology advances, tubes won’t be going out of style anytime soon. Just ask the guys at ART. Or better yet, check this out! The Erica Synths Fusion Drone System is an Eurorack-ready synthesizer module based on vacuum tubes that’s prime and ready for generating saturated analogue madness! Featuring an overall 43 patch points, it offers plenty of possibility to twist, distort, and mangle the signal flowing through its circuits.
The module’s architecture comprises a VCO, ring modulator, VCF, a modulator and signal splitter, a VCA, EG, and a Delay/Flanger/Vintage FX unit. It comes bundled with 20 patch cables so you will be ready to start plugging right away!
Erica Synths isn’t filling us in on anything else with regards to the Fusion Drone System, leaving the job to this 6-minute video of unfiltered sonic mayhem. Feel free to watch it for the chunky analog throbs and buzzes, but you’d better not get too hot and steamy about this unit. The 1960 EUR (+ eventual VAT and shipping costs) price tag is going to burn right through your heart and wallet. Then again, the term “Eurocrack!” doesn’t exist for nothing…
