Erica Synths Megarack
At some point, the folks at Erica Synths realized they had plenty of case options for small, portable performance systems, but nothing for the discerning Eurorack enthusiast looking to build a seriously large studio system. That’s how the idea for the new Megarack case was born – the solution for demanding Eurorack collectors.
With eight rows offering 126 HP each – that’s 1008 HP in total –, the Erica Synths Megarack has enough space even if you’re suffering from a hopeless case of G.A.S. The aluminium enclosure forms an ergonomically shaped console with two more or less horizontal rows at the bottom and six vertical rows up top. The two highest rows are angled slightly so you can reach them better.
The built-in power supply delivers 12 amps @ +12 volts and 6 amps @ -12 volts. The usable depth is 80 mm throughout, except directly above the power distribution boards, where it decreases to 60 mm. The bottom rows have even more room for your deepest modules.
In addition, the Megarack features two 4-pin XLR sockets for gooseneck lamps, which you’ll need to purchase separately.
If you’re lucky enough to call a seriously large Eurorack collection your own, the Megarack allows you to fit everything in one case. Which makes me wonder – wouldn’t it be even cooler to have two or three of these?
Price and availability
You can now order the Erica Synths Megarack from Thomann* for $1875, which is surprisingly affordable compared to what some other manufacturers ask for contraptions of this size. The case will begin to ship shortly.

the terminal stage of GAS. there’s no cure at this point.
I got the Behringer 3 synth module rack for $79. A Neutron and a new Kobol are ready now and am waiting for Proton to complete my budget modular system.
