Five new releases for July from the Ball Family Reserve
Ernie Ball Music Man has just revealed its July 2020 Ball Family Reserve guitars and basses. The lineup has some great looking limited-run instruments amongst them, including StingRay, Silhouette, Albert Lee, and Axis models.

The Ernie Ball Music Man July 2020 Ball Family Reserve has some cracking looking instruments in its lineup. Each model is a special one-off run and is limited to very few pieces worldwide.
Silhouette in Silver Flake Sparkle
This eye catching Silhouette comes in a medium-flake Silver Sparkle finish and a matching headstock, with a black logo silkscreen and Schaller locking tuners. The pickups are a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, a Chopper Blade in the middle, and a Super II Distortion in the neck position.
The instrument will be limited to only 75 pieces worldwide.
Axis Super Sport Baritone in Starry Night
Next up is the Axis Super Sport Baritone, which comes in a Starry Night finish, again with a matching headstock. It has a basswood body with a roasted maple neck, and a 27.5-inch scale length. The guitar comes loaded with Ernie Ball Music Man custom-designed baritone pickups and Schaller locking tuners.
This model is limited to 60 pieces worldwide.
Albert Lee MM-90 in Natural Mahogany
The Albert Lee MM-90 signature model comes in a Natural Mahogany finish over a mahogany body, and an Indian rosewood neck and fingerboard. It has three MM-90 pickups with cream covers, and each instrument is signed by Albert Lee himself.
This model will be limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
StingRay5 Special in Vintage Sierra Burst
The StingRay5 Special fretless bass comes in a Vintage Sierra Burst finish, and has a high-gloss roasted maple neck, perfect for smooth, slinky bass lines. It comes factory fitted with a set of Ernie Ball Music Man lightweight tuners.
This bass is limited to 70 pieces worldwide.
StingRay Special in Pink Champagne Sparkle
The other bass in the lineup is the StingRay Special in a Pink Champagne Sparkle finish, with a matching headstock, a figured roasted maple neck, and gold hardware. So if it’s bling you’re after, this bass has you covered. It comes loaded with dual humbucking pickups, a three-band active preamp with 18 volts of headroom, and a 5-way lever switch.
Only 85 of these basses will be available.
