ESP Godzilla: Radioactive monster riffs from the ESP Custom Shop
Celebrating 65 years of Godzilla
This amazingly detailed limited edition ESP Godzilla guitar is available exclusively via the Godzilla Store – at a monster price!
The new ESP Custom Shop Godzilla model was designed by guitarist Toshihiko Takamizawa of Japanese rock band The Alfee. Let’s be clear about one thing: it looks amazing! Just goes to show the kind of high end work ESP’s Custom Shop can produce.
Purple Monster
With a set of purple LEDs embedded in the fretboard and along Godzilla’s dorsal fins along its spine, it looks really impressive when all lit up and is controlled by an on/off switch. The jack is hidden in Godzilla’s foot.
The Godzilla has a a thin-U neck profile, 24 jumbo Jescar frets, Gotoh tuners, and a double-locking Floyd Rose vibrato. It comes loaded with a single active EMG-85 humbucker in the bridge position. Perfect for monsterour riffs and massive tones.
65th anniversary
Built to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise, the only bad news is that only five guitars will be made available for sale worldwide. Oh, and they do not come cheap: Each Godzilla guitar will retail at ¥5.55 million (approximately $51,600). Better get saving!
