ESP James Hetfield Vulture Olympic White swoops into NAMM
Metallica fans will finally be able to get the ESP and LTD Vulture in Olympic WHote
The long-awaited ESP James Hetfield Vulture in Olympic White has been announced. Based on the Metallica frontman’s Custom Shop model that he has been playing live on tour. Now finally available as an ESP and LTD model.
Vulture Olympic White
In 2022 ESP released the Hetfield Snakebyte in Camo, this year we get something different from the brand.
James Hetfield has been playing a Japanese Custom Shop Olympic White Vulture for quite some time now and now ESP has announced more affordable models.
Now available as a Standard ESP and an LTD model, which makes it attainable for more fans.
Metallica Signature Models
Metallica fans will all be pleased that this model is now within reach, at an affordable price point. Especially, as the recent official release of the new Kirk Hammett LTD KH-V signature model was announced in March.
ESP Construction
The ESP models have set-neck construction with a 24.75” scale length one-piece mahogany Thin U profile neck and ebony fretboard with 22 extra-jumbo frets, dot inlays and a custom vulture inlay at the 12th fret. The mahogany body is finished in Olympic White, as are the neck and headstock.
The ESP Vulture comes with a set of Hetfields’s signature EMG JH Het Set active pickups, which are wired with two volume controls and a three-way toggle switch,
Hardware includes a set of Gotoh locking tuners, plus a locking TonePros bridge and tailpiece.

LTD Version
The LTD Vulture is practically the same but has a three-piece mahogany neck with a Macassar Ebony fretboard and a set of LTD locking tuners and a TonePros bridge and tailpiece.
This means it offers almost the same feel and playability as the more expensive ESP version above.
Both versions of the Vulture come with a Vulture form fit case included in the price.
