EVH Striped Series ’78 Eruption, Wolfgangs and Limited Edition 5150
Four new EVH models are coming later this year
The EVH Striped Series ’78 Eruption has been announced, along with a limited-edition 5150 Deluxe and a pair of Wolfgang WG Standards. It looks like the EVH range certainly has some great new models coming this year.
Striped Series ’78 Eruption
This new EVH Striped Series ’78 Eruption is based on the original guitar that was seen on the first Van Halen album cover, back in 1978. This one is pre-Floyd Rose and features a single EVH humbucker.
The iconic black and white stripe paint job screams Eddie Van Halen. If you prefer the Fender Stratocaster synchronized tremolo, then this is the guitar for you.
It has a 12″-16″ compound radius 22-fret maple fingerboard and the quartersawn maple neck comes with a super smooth hand-rubbed satin urethane finish.
The Striped Series ’78 Eruption has an official MSRP of $1899 *and is out in September 2022.
EVH Limited Edition 5150 Deluxe Ash
Next up is the EVH Limited Edition 5150 Deluxe Ash and this model features pair of EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers. The ash body is paired with a graphite-reinforced bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, again with a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish. Some great hardware on this model including Floyd Rose locking trem, D-Tuna and a kill switch!
This one is due out in August 2022 with an MSRP of $1599 *.
EVH Wolfgang WG Standards
Finally, there are two new Wolfgang WG Standard models. This is one with a laurel burl top and one with a poplar burl top. Both models have basswood bodies, paired with a 22-fret baked maple neck with a 12″-16″ compound radius and rolled edges.
Again, you get a pair of EVH Wolfgang humbuckers and the EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special bridge, R2 locking nut. All the hardware is black chrome.
The MSRP on both the Poplar Burl * and Laurel Burl *models is $699 and they will be available from October 2022.
