Pro-MB eschews the traditional approach to multiband processing (split input signal into bands using crossovers) to let users define their own frequency bands and ranges. Also of note is FabFilter’s Dynamic Phase processing mode which works at zero-latency operation, eliminates pre-ringing effects, and only introduces phase changes with gain changes. The plug-in is complete with Linear Phase and traditional Minimum Phase modes.

as loud as you want it. Its features include loudness metering, true peak limiting, surround
support, oversampling, and dithering. Some of the available limiting algorithms are Modern, Aggressive, Bus, and Safe. With these alone, it covers a wide gamut of limiting styles.

FabFilter’s take on simulated reverb is that convolution may sound convincing but it’s often not flexible enough and overly dense in the context of a mix. Then again, many algorithmic reverbs lack density, sound artificial, or are overly difficult to adjust. The developer went on to create a natural and realistic algorithmic reverb that leaves no room for confusion when it comes to actual use. Pro-R is a smartly designed reverb which fits the mix just right is exactly what most users need. So FabFilter is bang on the money with that one.
