Bruno Mars gets a signature US Fender model

The Fender Bruno Mars Stratocaster is the latest signature model guitar from the Californian guitar giant. This model comes with the Mars Mocha Heirloom nitrocellulose finish.
Fender Bruno Mars Stratocaster
This Fender Bruno Mars Stratocaster features the ‘new’ Mars Mocha Heirloom nitro finish. A finish that has not been seen on a US standard Fender model, until now. The finish pops nicely against the black pickguard and the guitar overall, looks pretty classy.

Ash
This signature model comes with an ash body with American Ultra contours. The maple neck looks good plus it has a modern 9.5″-12″ compound radius fretboard and a set of stainless steel frets.
It also has the larger Fender headstock shape, which I think suits the overall aesthetic quite well.

Noiseless
One of the key features is a set of Custom Bruno Mars Noiseless Strat pickups that offer a bright and crisp tone.

Heirloom
Overall, the new Heirloom finish looks lightly aged and includes the matching Heirloom lightly aged gold hardware throughout. This means the Fender USA 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo and Deluxe Locking Tuners all look nicely worn in.
The guitar comes with a Fender Deluxe Brown Hardshell Case, and a custom leopard print strap, plus an extra 3-ply mint green pickguard.
Verdict
It has a very similar set of features to the Edge signature model Strat from 2016, however, it looks a a little bit more like a Custom Shop model, in terms of the Heirloom finish, with the light aging. I’m not sure how well-known Bruno Mars is as a guitarist, but his signature model has some nice player choices.
The price on this model is quite high so it may put off some potential buyers. Though, the specifications are pretty good for a modern Strat with vintage looks.
