Fender Juanes Stratocaster: From Pop to Metal
The Columbian artist gets new signature Stratocaster
The new Fender Juanes Stratocaster is an HSS Strat that can cover many styles with a special circuit – and is also intended to capture the artist’s metal past.
Fender Juanes Stratocaster
Juanes is probably not known that well here in the UK – we didn’t know him either. However, the Colombian guitarist is no stranger when you look at his streaming numbers.
Fender certainly also does well to turn artists into signature artists outside the usual countries. The actual target group can also be seen here in the video and the description: They are primarily in Spanish.
Features
The Stratocaster has an alder body finished in Satin Luna White, and a maple Deep – C profile neck with a 10-14′′ compound radius maple fretboard.
Custom Voiced Pickups
An Alnico-II humbucker sits on the bridge position and is paired with two Ultra Noiseless single coils. The control layout is almost standard Strat, just with an added kick.
Whether the Custom Juanes Ultra Noiseless Strat Pickup Set will be available separately at some point remains to be seen.
Mid Boost
In addition, Fender installs a Custom Voiced 12 dB Mid Boost, which is switched on with an S-1 switch on the master volume. The volume is then adjusted via Tone 2.
In terms of sound, it should be able to accompany many musical genres. The Strat can traditionally already do that – Juanes himself comes from metal, then embarked on the “own sound journey” and has now arrived somewhere between pop, rock and folk.
MSRP – USD 2299.99
