Fender Made in Japan Limited Hybrid II Noir: Back in black
Satin Black Japanese models announced
These Fender Made in Japan Limited Hybrid II Noir models include a Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazzmaster. Along with a matching Jazz Bass model. Each comes in a very ’80s-looking all-black with just a hint of red finish.
Fender Made in Japan Limited Hybrid II Noir
More new Fender Japan models are being released in Europe and this time it is the Made in Japan Limited Hybrid II Noir Series, consisting of three guitars and a single bass model. The three models being released include a Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazzmaster, plus a Jazz Bass.
They follow on from the recent Japanese limited-run HSS and SSS Hybrid II models and the Sakuraburst Stratocaster.
There was a previous Fender Noir run back in 2017, but with different models and they were all made in Mexico.
Satin Black
Each guitar comes in a satin black finish with a matching headstock and a 3-Ply black pickguard with a subtle red centre layer. Then factor in the all-black metal and plastic parts, which all add to the stealthy ’80s vibe of these models.
Specifications
Each model has an alder body paired with a maple C-profile neck that has a dark rosewood 9.5″ radius fretboard. The fretboards have 22 Narrow Tall frets and white dot fret markers, plus a black synthetic bone nut.
I like that they have matching satin black headstocks, each with a red metal Fender logo applied.
Pickups
They each come with a set of the relevant Fender Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups for each model, along with standard wiring.
Limited Run
Once again, these new Japanese Fender models offer something a little different and according to the main Fender site, they should be shipping soon.
Fender states 03/07/23 is the arrival date for all four models and Thomann is taking pre-orders now. These models are all part of yet another limited run and so you may want to preorder these models to avoid any disappointment.
MSRP – Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jazz Bass GBP 1299/ EUR 1399 * each inc gig bag
