Fender Mod Shop adds hardtail Strat bridges, black headstocks and Inca Silver finish
Hard tail Strats and new finish options
Fender has just added some neat new options to its guitar customisation service at the Mod Shop outlet. These include hardtail Strat bridges, black painted headstocks and new Inca Silver finish options. Nice!
Fender Mod Shop Inca Silver
As of today, Fender’s Mod Shop has some cool new options. First, the biggest news: You can now order your Strat with a hardtail bridge. I’m pretty stoked about this. Players can finally get their hands on a hardtail Stratocaster! Up until now, you had to get either the Robert Cray model or try to get your hands on one of the long-discontinued Billy Corgan signature models. As the owner of a Fender Corgan Strat, I think they offer some really nice tones, with great sustain and attack. They are also lighter without that Strat tremolo bridge. I’ve found they have a lot of advantages.
Now for the other new options. Fender has included new Mod Shop finish options, adding an Inca Silver finish (on alder bodies) and the option of ordering your guitar or bass with a black painted headstock. These options are available on the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass models. Again, a great little option with a nice new finish for a custom guitar.
The extra icing on the cake: P-Basses can now be ordered with V-Mod PJ Bass pickups. At last!
