The Fender Parallel Universe series was leaked a long time ago now. But finally, they have officially released the 2018 Tele Thinline Super Deluxe limited edition model. That bright orange twin pickup Tele with attitude looks kind of fun to play.
Fender 2018 Tele Thinline Super Deluxe limited edition
This is a limited edition model for 2018 and so will only be available for a short time. It is a Thinline style Telecaster and so has an f-hole. semi-hollow alder body finished in nitrocellulose orange and comes with a cool ‘70s Tele Thinline silver sparkle pickguard as well.
This guitar comes with a bound American Professional ‘Deep C’ shape neck that has a relatively modern 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard and a bone nut, so should be pretty comfortable to play and not too anaemic/thin in the palm of your hand.
A hardtail bridge with six individual saddles is a departure from the standard Telecaster three barrel bridge. It suits this style of guitar better in my opinion, plus intonation will be easier to adjust, so a winner all around.

TV Jones Classic
Loaded with a pair of TV Jones Classic humbucking pickups which I really like as they have lots of cool tones available in them. I use them in one of my guitars and find they can achieve some really great tones and it gives you something different, rather than your standard Telecaster pickup configuration.
The control layout is simple with a single Volume and Tone control complemented by a three-way switch, so the perfect guitar for a Luddite like myself, who like to keep things simple.
Out of the whole Parallel Universe series, this has to be my favourite of the lot and is something I would happily play daily. Plus I really like the orange nitro finish on this particular model as well!
