The Gibson Brian May SJ-200 12-string features AAA Rosewood back and sides and AAA Sitka Spruce top in a beautiful vintage sunburst finish. These premium materials produce a warm and distinctive sound.
The two-piece AAA maple neck with rounded profile offers a comfortable feel, while the rosewood fingerboard with 8-point-star inlays of agoya shell adds a touch of elegance. The headstock features an ornate 8-point-star inlay of agoya shell and the famous Gibson logo in mother-of-pearl, complemented by gold Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners.
A Design that Honors History
The solid rosewood Moustache™ bridge with four ’60s-style agoya inlays is not only a visual highlight, but also delivers the powerful sound typical of a 12-string guitar. The planetary pickguard, designed by Sir Brian himself, emphasizes the astronomical theme of the guitar and makes it a real collector’s item.
Another unique feature is the guitar’s special string arrangement, with the thicker strings at the top and the octave strings at the bottom. This gives the guitar a distinctive sound that sets it apart from other 12-string Gibson acoustic guitars.
The Gibson Brian May SJ-200 is equipped with Fishman® Matrix® electronics for both stage and studio use. Simply remove the guitar from its deluxe hardshell case and hit the road.

It should be noted that only 100 of these exceptional instruments were made by the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, making the SJ-200 an absolute collector’s item.
