G&L adds two new affordable models to its ASAT Tribute Series
In two eye-catching finishes
G&L has expanded its ASAT line with two new Tribute Series models. At just EUR 579, the new models are a Bright Blueburst flame maple-top Deluxe Carved Top model and a Candy Apple Red Classic Bluesboy. Both offer some great value for money.
G&L ASAT
The popular G&L Tribute Series has two new, very nicely priced models added to its lineup. Now you can buy the Deluxe Carved Top in a Bright Blueburst flame maple-top (there’s also a Trans Black) or the Classic Bluesboy in Candy Apple Red. And both have a lot to offer for the price.
Bright Blueburst Deluxe Carved Top
The Deluxe Carved Top in Bright Blueburst comes with a nato body and a flame maple top, along with a hard-rock maple neck with a 12″ radius rosewood fretboard. The neck has a classic C profile and is loaded with 22 medium-jumbo frets.
You get twin humbuckers, with a G&L AS4250C in the neck and a G&L AW4370C in the bridge position. The pickups are then wired up via a three-position pickup selector, a master volume, and a master tone with coil-split.
Candy Apple Red Classic Bluesboy
The Classic Bluesboy comes in a Candy Apple Red finish over a poplar body. It has a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. This time, the neck has a medium-C profile and a 9.5” radius, and 22 medium-jumbo nickel frets.
The Classic Bluesboy comes loaded with a G&L AS4255C Alnico humbucker in the neck position and a Leo Fender-designed G&L Magnetic Field Design single-coil in the bridge position. These go through a three-position pickup selector, and master volume and tone controls.
It is great to see these two striking colours added to the line. And, for the money, you are getting a lot of guitar, with some nice specifications. You can hear a demo of the Trans Black version of the Deluxe Carved Top in the official video below.
