Gretsch Jack Antonoff Limited Edition Princess
A new limited edition signature model for Jack Antonoff
The Gretsch Jack Antonoff limited edition signature Princess Antonoff model has just been announced and looks like an affordable, versatile and stylish guitar.
Jack Antonoff
Jack Antonoff has just worked with Gretsch on his new signature Princess Antonoff model. Antonoff is a renowned songwriter, producer, and musician.
With ten Grammy Awards, including three consecutive Producer of the Year wins, he’s collaborated with artists like Taylor Swift, The 1975, and St. Vincent. Beyond his production work, Antonoff has enjoyed success in bands like Fun and Bleachers.
Princess Antonoff
The Limited Edition Jack Antonoff Signature CVT is a reimagined version of his cherished Gretsch Princess. This guitar boasts custom-wound FideliSonic single-coil pickups, and a unique control layout.
It has a solid alder body paired with a bolt-on maple 25.5″ scale-length neck with a satin finish and a contoured joint. This gives the model a distinctly Fender flavour, slightly different from a standard Gretsch. However, Fender does own the brand, so it all makes sense.
The 7.25″ radius bound rosewood fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid Neo-Classical Thumbnail inlays and it has a bone nut. This should give it a more vintage feel, but with the modern playabilty due to the bigger frets.
FideliSonic
Equipped with Alnico 5 magnets, the custom-wound FideliSonic single-coil pickups produce a powerful sound that’s both punchy and clear.
A custom control layout with a master volume, master tone, rhythm/lead switch, thumbwheel controls, a momentary kill switch, and a three-position pickup selector. This versatile setup lets players easily dial in a wide range of sounds and manipulate them dramatically.
Floating
The guitar comes equipped with a vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece with lock button and a floating bridge. Along with vintage-style tuners, so it should feel a little like a Fender offset model (Jazzmaster or Jaguar) in terms of giving more of a subtle vibrato, than a full on dive when in use.
All ths hardware is nickel and works well with the gold plexi pickguard and truss rod cover against the Vintage White finish and the matching painted headstock.
Overall, a great looking guitar and also a very well priced one.
Official MSRP – USD 699.99
