GTRS Professional 800: Mooer announces new premium models
New premium model announced with upgraded specifications
The Mooer GTRS Professional 800 is the new premium version of their GTRS range which was launched last year. With the same intelligent guitar system, just now you have upgraded tonewoods and specifications. All add up to a more premium guitar experience, with all the added benefits of their proprietary GTRS system.
Mooer GTRS Professional 800
This new GTRS Professional 800 series from Mooer takes the concept of the intelligent guitar system and adds premium hardware and tonewoods to the mix. The GTRS system still works in conjunction with the iOS/Android app and gives players access to 126 onboard effects, 40 drum machine patterns, a metronome, plus an 80-second looper.
The Super Knob activates the GTRS onboard DSP and gives you a lot more than just a regular pair of pickups could ever achieve. This Super Knob is used to cycle through tones or you can use the Mooer GWF-4 * footswitch if you prefer to go hands-free.
Super Knob
The previous basswood body and roasted maple neck have been upgraded, along with the hardware and pickups. Now you get an alder body, plus a figured roasted maple neck. Along with stainless steel frets on a rosewood fingerboard, high-ratio 18:1 locking tuners, and a Wilkinson VS 50 II bridge. Pickups are a set of TRS SCN-1N/M and GTRS HM-1B, these are wired by a standard volume, tone and the Super Knob, plus a five-way selector switch.
Direct Record
These premium models support play directly through headphones, plus USB-OTG recording. Making them perfect for practice and recording, no need for extra headphone amps or audio interfaces here. Just plug straight into these new P800 models and off you go. With an internal lithium battery that offers up to 10 hours of playing time and can be charged up via the USB-C port.
Available in Tiffany Blue, Olympic White, Mint Green, Flamingo Pink, Fiesta Red and Dark Night finish. The GTRS Intelligent Guitar system is demoed in the official video below.
Current pricing on the standard edition is around €549, which you can see below as they are available to buy from Thomann. I would expect these new P800 models to be a fair bit more. Though no official MSRP has been announced yet.
