Guild Polara adds new colours and expands the models for 2024
Even more straight up rock machines announced for 2024
Guild Guitars Polara range is expanding in 2024 and includes a host of new colour options, across the range. Including a new colour for Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil.
Guild Polara
Guild Guitars Polara range now consists of Standard, Night Edition, Deluxe, Artist Signature, and USA models.
The new HB-2+ pickups are modern developments of the sought-after Guild HB-1 Oversized Humbucker, built in traditional humbucker size with Alnico V magnets. The hot-wound HB-2+ pickups offer a variety of tones with lots of character. Black pole pieces add even more vibe, while the master and tone controls are reduced to just two potentiometers, further underlining the Polara’s straightforward and sober design.

Standard
If you’re looking for a down-to-earth workhorse with a big dose of rock’n’roll flair, you’ve come to the right place. The Polara features a mahogany body with a set neck design and a familiar 24.75-inch scale length. The fretboard is made of rosewood and the neck has a U-profile.
The base model is available in Polara Blue Steel, Phantom Green, and the eye-catching Voltage Yellow.

Polara Night Edition
Let’s look at the differences between the available models. It starts with the so-called Night Edition.
None More Black
The model features a blacked-out look, including the metal “Peak” logo on the matching painted headstock and all-black hardware that complements the dark tungsten finish.
It comes with a single humbucker and is stripped back, ready to rock.

The Polara Deluxe offers classic aesthetics reminiscent of 1970s design but with a few modern improvements. These include a bound rosewood fretboard with block inlays, Guild Peak and Chesterfield inlays on the headstock, a compensated Guild stop bar tailpiece, and two HB-2+ pickups with a coil split function.
Available in Cherry Red, Canyon Dusk Metallic, and Vintage Sunburst Gloss.
