Guild Surfliner Deluxe offsets with GFVT floating bridge system
New offset models now with Guild Floating Vibrato Tailpiece
These Guild Surfliner Deluxe models have just been announced and combine stylish looks with a very useable pickup configuration and some stunning metallic colour options. Along with a newly designed GFVT floating bridge, that should please offset fans.
Guild Surfliner Deluxe
The new Guild Surfliner Deluxe comes fitted with an HB-2 Humbucker with Alnico II magnets and two DeArmond Aerosonic middle and neck pickups.
I would hazard a guess, that this pickup combination will offer guitarists some very nice tonal variations via the 5-way blade switch. Plus, they have a handy Push/Pull coil split for the bridge humbucker.
Metallic
They are available in Rose Quartz Metallic, Evergreen Metallic and Black Metallic finishes, with a matching painted headstock which really suits the overall aesthetic of these vintage-flavoured guitar designs.
GFVT
Each one comes with the newly developed Guild Floating Vibrato Tailpiece/GFVT floating bridge system, this looks very much like a traditional offset-style bridge system.
If you like Jazzmaster and Jaguars, then you will probably appreciate this new system. I like that Guild has added a nylon insert and an easily accessible tension screw for control of bar tension. As nobody wants a floppy tremolo arm!
These are paired with a set of locking vintage-style tuners, for added tuning stability.
Specifications
Each guitar comes with a C-shaped 25.5” scale roasted maple neck fitted with a bound rosewood fretboard with block inlays. These models all use a lightweight Poplar solid body, which is a great tonewood for electric guitars.
MSRP – TBC
