Guitar Gear Gems: 567-M Modulation Machine, Half Watt, Loomer Heiress
Crazy noise machines and all-tube micro amps
This week’s Guitar Gear Gems includes a sweet micro tube amp from Hagerman Amplification and it offers real tube tone rather than DSP-powered emulations. Then we check out the new 567-M Modulation Machine from one of my favourite boutique builders, Industrialectric. And finally, we take a peek at the latest Keeley Loomer Heiress Limited Edition.
Hagerman Half Watt
The Hagerman Half Watt tube amplifier is a mini all-tube guitar amp that is perfect for practice or studio work.
The micro amp is powered by 1 x 12AY7 tube and 1 x 12BH7 tube, so is nice and simple, which is generally a good thing with tube amps in my experience.
This means users can get some real tube tone, rather than relying on software plugins or DSP amp modelling.
Clean or Dirty?
It offers 0.5W clean at 8Ω or 1.5W dirty making it a great little amp to have around for recording into a DAW or similar.
The amp has Bass, Treble and Volume controls, so is easy to use and with some experimentation, users can dial in a bunch of useful tones. It only measures 6 x 6 x 4 inches and so is easy to transport to studio sessions and it comes with its own 15VDC 800mA power supply.
Looks like a lot of fun and I really do enjoy using small amps for recording.
MSRP – USD 359
Industrialectric 567-M Modulation Machine
The Industrialectric 567-M Modulation Machine is another great creative effect from the boutique pedal maker.
Modulation
As usual, with Industrialectric this pedal was designed to make some serious noise, it begs users to play with the controls and rewards them with all manner of nasty goodness.
It offers a host of modulation and noise mangling options including Ring Modulation, Bit Crushing, Data Corruption, Vocal/Vowel effects, Waveshaping, Arp/Trem/Pulse/Rhythmic Movement, DIistortion, Fuzz, Filtering Oscillation, Glitch, Stutter and more.
The pedal has an expression pedal input and is a true bypass circuit design.
It comes in black or a rust finish option.
Expect to have a lot of fun using this 4 channel beast of a pedal!
MSRP – USD 180 / 230

Keeley Loomer Heiress Limited Edition
I’m a massive fan of the Keeley Loomer pedal and now there is a limited edition Heiress version available in two finishes.
The pedal offers My Bloody Valentine-esque tones and is a lot of fun to use live and in the studio.
Matt or Gloss?
This Heiress Limited Edition is available in Matte Frost of Sparkle Gloss finishes for a short time.
My Bloody FX
It features the Soft Focus Reverb, Reverse/Trem Bar Reverb, Hall/Octave Reverb and Wall of Fuzz tones of the original pedal.
Just now it comes in a cool new graphic with two finish options available.
The standard Keeley Loomer * is also available and sounds just as good as this limited run
