7-String Fender Strat?
Fender has worked with Chris Garza of Suicide Silence and created a 7-string Fender Strat. He is now attempting to convince them to put it into full production. The Fender Custom Shop has made him a few of these models in the past as he plays them with the band.
Six Years
In a recent interview, he said he has worked with Fender for over six years on these and heavily hinted that he would like a signature model with the brand – a 7-string Fender.
The Squier range of instruments has had seven strings in the past, plus Fender also owns Charvel and Jackson, so it isn’t impossible.
The Purple Strat
Chris’s purple Strat has a 26.5″ scale length, 24 frets, and a pair of Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbuckers. The main body is mahogany, and it has an ebony fretboard and Luminlay side dots.
If Chris gets his way, we could see an official 7-String Fender Stratocaster soon. Watch this space!
Dumble Back?
A new Dumble web page has been launched, and many guitarists are excited about the prospect of the amp brand making a comeback soon.
Alexander ‘Howard’ Dumble
Alexander ‘Howard’ Dumble passed away in 2022 and left a considerable legacy for high-end boutique amplifiers, which now cost thousands to buy used. When he was alive, he hand-built each one specifically for the owner so that it was unique and tailored to the individual player.
UAFX just launched a Dumble-style pedal, so they are one of those amps players love.
Dumble.com
The website, Dumble.com, is maintained by the successor to Mr. Dumble’s business. This successor owns all intellectual property rights associated with Dumble amplifiers, including trademarks, schematics, and other trade secrets. They also maintain records and databases of all authentic Dumble amplifiers created, allowing for authenticity verification.
This could be huge news, so we will update you if more news emerges about this relaunch.
OKKO BFGRMWB
OKKO FX has launched the BFGRMWB, and the first batch has already sold out online. The pedal is based on the Electro Harmonix V7D Bubble Font Big Muff or Russian Big Muff as it is more widely known.
Expanded EQ
They have tweaked the circuit and expanded the tone stack with individual bass, midrange, and presence knobs. This modern recreation of the classic Green Muff uses high-quality components, including oversized, high-voltage, and low-tolerance parts, ensuring an excellent-sounding Muff that lasts a lifetime.
This style circuit works equally well with guitar and bass guitar, and it is great for big Doom-style riffage and brutal walls of dirt.
MSRP – EUR 234,45
Here are two great alternatives to the OKKO that are available to buy now.
