Halo Core: Keeley Brings Back Timmons’ Delay
Keeley Halo Core is back!
The Keeley Halo Core is back in production and streamlines the Halo Andy Timmons Dual Echo. Delivering Andy Timmons’ legendary tone in a compact and user-friendly package.
Halo Core
This studio-grade delay effect in a compact pedal was originally a limited release in July, but now it is back! This stripped-back version of the Halo is the latest version from Keeley, based on Andy Timmons’s famous Halo delay effect.
It slims the full-blown Halo version to its core controls and gives players access to three excellent delay effect settings.
Three Delays
The Halo Core offers three distinct delay modes: Andy’s iconic “Halo” sound, a classic quarter-note delay, and a versatile dotted eighth-note delay.
Stereo
This compact pedal features stereo inputs and outputs for a more immersive sound, switchable trails or true bypass for tailored sound, all-wet or all-dry modes for flexibility, tap tempo for precise timing, plus a redesigned infinite hold feature, and intuitive alt controls for fine-tuning the effect.
Delay Controls
It has a Saturate control that adds tape compression texture for a vintage feel, while the Tone and High Pass Filter controls shape the delay’s character and mix.
Halo
The Time and Feedback controls dial in the perfect delay time and feedback intensity. Above are the settings that Andy uses to get his Halo effect so you can mimic that tone.
Verdict
It is good to see this popular delay pedal back and available again. If you are searching for that Andy Timmons Halo effect, this is the simplest way to achieve it. The new Keeley Halo Core delay should be available by the end of the month (Keeley states shipping from 26 November), so there is not long to wait.
