Happy Nerding FX AID PRO: 200 effects in a single module
Happy Nerding has expanded its FX AID module one more time into the FX AID PRO and exploded the DSP to hold 200 effects in a 14HP module.
FX AID PRO
What on earth are you going to do with 200 effects? The original FX AID and FX AID XL had 32, which feels like plenty, but 200? Wow! The PRO version is obviously much wider at 14HP, giving it the room to accommodate a rather nice OLED screen. The six knobs and nine patch points seem to sit around in a luxurious amount of space.
The screen serves as an information point showing the currently loaded effect and three editable parameters that are served by the row of knobs below. The effects can be loaded in any order and managed via an online editor. The effects switch instantly, or you can dial it in a push the knob in to activate once you’re ready. You can store up to 10 user presets.
You have control over the input level of your mono or stereo input and then a knob sets the dry/wet balance for the stereo output. The three patch points at the top give modulation control over the three parameters of each effect. There’s also an internal LFO which can be routed to the parameters. This includes the sample rate so you can crunch down to juicier sounds.
There’s no end of stuff in here and the screen really does transform the FX AID effects module into something quite superb. For simplicity, you’re never going to beat the originals but there’s so much fun to be had in the FX AID PRO. The video below will show you why you’re going to want one of these. The FX AID PRO should be available soon for $300.

Am I missing something here? The FX isn’t even connected and some random guys on Youtube find the FX perfect and excellent without even hearing the change of the parameters.
“The original had 32”, wrong, you can store 32 but there are tons of additional algorithms available in the Happy Nerding web editor. So the older also had 200 but were limited to 32 in the hardware.
