Harley Benton BZ 1000 II NT: 4-string and 7-string basses
New 4-string and 7-string basses
The new Harley Benton BZ 1000 II NT series adds two models that could not be different: the more traditional 4-string BZ-4000 II NT and the monstrous 7-string BZ-7000 II NT.
BZ 1000 II NT
Harley Benton has announced the introduction of the new BZ-1000 II NT bass family. It is a further development of the original BZ-1000 NT basses and includes all the features that made the original series so popular.
Available as either a 4-string or 7-string model.
Neck-Through
Both models have a neck-through-body construction, a seven-piece neck made of Canadian maple and Nyato for increased stability, and an ebony fretboard with 24 medium jumbo frets.
Tesla
The mahogany and ash body with AAA flame maple veneer offers an ergonomic design for comfortable playing, particularly easy access to the high frets, and an appealing aesthetic.
Each model is equipped with Tesla soap bar pickups and an active 3-band EQ and offers a variety of sounds, from powerful bass to crisp highs.
BZ-4000 II NT
The BZ-4000 II NT has a scale of 34 inches and has four strings. The neck profile is a modern C and it should be a comfortable model, especially with that long upper horn that in theory should make it comfortable when worn on a strap.
Harley Benton BZ-7000 II NT
The setup and hardware of the BZ-7000 II NT is basically identical to the four-string version. Special features are of course the seven strings, but also an extended 35 inch scale.
It is huge and I have no doubt that it could be a lot of fun to play, plus the price point is going to make it a lot easier for players to access without breaking the bank.
