Harley Benton CG-45E: an all-mahogany grand concert acoustic at a crazy price
The new Harley Benton CG-45E acoustic guitar is an all-mahogany grand concert that falls under the £100 mark. At this amazing price, the guitar is well worth a look, and could be great tool for songwriting or just as a spare ‘sofa’ guitar around the house.
Harley Benton CG-45E
With a 100% mahogany body and neck, the new Harley Benton CG-45E grand concert sized acoustic guitar is the perfect little number for fingerpicking styles at a price point that is ludicrous. The model should deliver a nice rounded and warm acoustic tone, with a detailed, articulate quality.
Mahogany Construction
This new all-mahogany acoustic seems to tick a lot of boxes. It has a smaller body size, a good choice of woods and an easy-to-play C-profile neck. The guitar has a Dovetail neck joint and X-bracing construction using mahogany for both the body and neck. The fingerboard is Roseacer, loaded with 20 frets. You get creme binding along the neck and body, and the choice of simple dot inlays make it really look quite understated. You do get a touch of bling with the gold tuners which have pearloid buttons.
Preamp?
Unbelievably, Harley Benton has also managed to cram a built-in pre-amp with volume and 4-band EQ into this model, which is insane at this price, and makes this a real bargain in my opinion. Maybe if you were thinking of taking up the acoustic guitar, now is the time?
The Harley Benton CG-45E is available in a nice natural satin or a more classic Vintage Burst finish. You even get a choice of colour… and all that for under £100!
