Harley Benton JA-60CC offset range launches in 5 cool surf colours
All new offset guitar range launched by Harley Benton
The all-new Harley Benton JA-60CC offsets come with caramelised necks and P-90 pickups. Available on launch in a host of cool colours, plus left-handed models as well. Modern playability meets vintage styling for this new guitar range.
Harley Benton JA-60CC
This Harley Benton JA-60CC offset guitars range offers some serious bang for your buck. Each model comes with some great specifications, but what really caught my eye at first was the range of colours on offer. These include Seafoam Green, Inca Silver, Shell Pink, Dakota Red and Lake Placid Blue. With Seafoam Green (coming soon) and Lake Placid Blue available for left-handed players.
Potentially, these could be a great buy for any fans of offset-styled guitars.
Specifications
Based around a Basswood body with a bolt-on C profile caramelised Canadian maple neck, these look like solid instruments. The Laurel fretboard comes with a set of block inlays and 21 frets. All the hardware on these models is chrome. This hardtail design is based around a stop tail and a fixed bridge, along with a set of vintage Kluson-style tuners.
P90 Pickups
Powered by twin Roswell JM Alnico-5 vintage-style P90 pickups, which are controlled by a single volume and tone control via a three-2ay toggle switch. I can see these offsets being popular. They would also make the perfect modding platform for anyone that likes to tinker with their guitars.
Overall, I cannot fault this new JA-60CC model and I love that Harley Benton launched with left-handed models straight away. The choice of colours is also really good for these and avoids boring sunbursts black and white, etc Check out the official video below which shows off those colours really nicely.
For the money, these new offset models are going to be hard to beat!
MSRP – EUR 179.00

At least they have the headstock right (no matching colour). No cheap baby guitar colours but decent real colours (for the price range). The TOM style bridge will benefit most people over F-brands bridge. Great price… no wonder HB sells so well!
I’m liking the colours, some great choices in there for the money.
Thomann mentions “2 x Roswell JM Alnico-5 vintage-style pickups”, not P-90’s which is more in line with the pictures.
The Harley Benton email I received states P90 and the press release says Roswell JM Alnico-5 vintage-style pickups. I would say these look like P90 single coils, As I have not had a chance to play one in real life. Will update the article if it turns out they are not a P90, once we have one to hand. Plus, the official Harley Benton site lists them as P90s as well.
P90’s typically have two screws between the pickups or dogears. Jazzmaster-pickups have four screws on the sides. But yeah, wait until you’re sure.
Though many Fender ‘budget’ Jazzmaster style pickups are P90s, etc I used P90 to describe them, as that is how Harley Benton has described them on their site and in their email to me. But, I know exactly what you mean by the 4 screw design.
would have been nice to have the JM vibrato, but not complaining at this price.
Yeah, it’s a pretty sweet deal and I get what you mean. Maybe we will see one with a JM-style trem in the future?
