Hotone Ampero Mini: Smaller, Cheaper and Powerful
Super powerful, mini modeller
The Hotone Ampero Mini is the latest modeller from the Chinese effect pedal company. It is not only the smallest model of the Ampero series, but also the cheapest.
Hotone Ampero Mini
Hotone Ampero Mini, just like the previous full-sized Ampero, has two DSP chips at the heart of the modeller and is 24-bit.
This allows up to 9 effects to be used at the same time. This new mini version loses the foot controller, but not the power.
Packed Full of Features
With a total of 199 effects, 52 amps and 50 cabinets available. Microphone type and position can be freely chosen as well – and those who are not satisfied with it can use their own IRs.
It also contains a drum machine with 100 patterns and a looper with 100 seconds of mono or 50 seconds of stereo loop time. The USB-C port changes firmware, as well as the, presets in the editor. The two-foot switches can either switch the presets or activate the looper.
Touch operation
Interesting is the pure touch operation on the 4′′ display which boasts super smooth operation and can detect scrolls via dragging your finger across the screen.
Connections
At the back, in addition to the standard input and an output, which also handles stereo via Y-cable, there is also an Exp/Ctrl connection with which you can connect your own foot controller* or footswitch. In addition, there are headphones, AUX In, each with a 3.5 mm small jack and finally a master volume control.
Price and market launch
The Hotone Ampero Mini will be available in 6 different colours.
Currently, only the variant in “Vanilla” can be pre-ordered for € 229*. Tough the other colours will come on sale gradually and cost the same price.
