IK Multimedia introduces the iRig Stream Mic Pro multi-pattern USB mic
With the iRig Stream Mic Pro, you can stream and record from your Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, or Android device. The built-in 24-bit 96 kHz audio interface provides loopback, direct monitoring, and an additional input for using other audio sources while streaming.
In the center, the multi-function knob lets you choose the polar pattern you’re working with. There are four polar patterns, including cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-eight, and stereo which makes the iRig Stream Mic Pro equipped for almost any purpose.
You also have control of all your levels such as mic gain, headphones, and streaming level. What’s more, you can activate and adjust the HP filter, mute the mic, and turn on direct monitoring and loopback.

When using the interface, you can choose between two operating modes: stereo and multichannel mode, which separates the mic signal from your stream. Not only does this mean you can add background music, but you can also process the mic signal pre-stream which is incredibly useful.
The broadcast-style design is clearly aimed at streaming, content creation, and podcasting. The features are all neatly integrated to allow ease of use, without lengthy setup times or the need to hire an experienced sound engineer. What’s more, the multipattern options give you a chance to plan your approach and create a more immersive audio experience with your content.
