Introducing the Eve Audio SC2070 6.5-inch 2-way studio monitors
The Eve Audio SC2070 is a Class-D bi-amplified 2-way monitor that features the new AMT (Air Motion Transformer) RS7 tweeters. It’s a professional solution for studios, production houses, and home audio setups that could be just up your street. Let’s take a look!
The design of the SC2070 allows them to be used in both near and midfield monitoring situations. So although they may have a resemblance to the SC207, with the same rear-ported bass reflex channel, these pack a good deal more punch.

What sets the SC2070 apart immediately is the larger AMT RS7 tweeters. These precise 100W high-frequency drivers provide detailed stereo imaging which is similar to that of a 3-way monitor. With the crossover system set at 1800 Hz, the mid-range reproduction is particularly articulate for monitors of this size.
The 150W SilverCone 6.5-inch drivers provide all the power and depth required for music and post-production. Whilst providing gain controls, the front panel knobs also give you access to the integrated DSP system.
Here, 24bit/192kHz Burr Brown converters ensure the quality of each filter adjustment setting (low-shelf, mid-eq, and high-shelf). Meanwhile, the rear panel controls allow you to change the maximum input level from +7 to +22 dBU.
Once you’ve tuned the SC2070 to your listening environment, you can then lock in the volume and filter settings you’ve selected. These handy safety switches will ensure you don’t make any changes inadvertently.
Connectivity includes XLR and RCA inputs, so you could easily use them as bookshelf Hi-Fi speakers too if you wanted. Overall though, these are powerful monitors built for hours of repeated use and Eve Audio has a reputation that justifies the price tag.
